Long Island Iced Tea

When you don’t have time to sober up, make this weak Long Island Iced Tea instead! It’s just as refreshing and tasty as the original

Mother of all cocktails

Believe it or not, I had my first Long Island Iced Tea only a couple of years ago! I guess I put off having one, as I knew there was a crazy amount of alcohol in it.

I like to have a few drinks to relax and buzz out, instead of passing out over a cocktail with a spitting headache!

I’m also paranoid about getting drunk because I like to always have control of my actions. I don’t like the idea of being vulnerable or acting like a fool. Everyone has a camera ready these days, so I can picture myself on a viral grainy video doing an awful version of the ‘running man’ dance. OMG, that’s so eighties! I’m really showing my age.

Long Island Iced Tea

When I finally tried a Long Island Iced Tea cocktail, it pleasantly surprised me how much I enjoyed it. I’m not into shots or strong drinks, but I really enjoyed the combined flavours! It goes down well, however, it sure throws a massive punch from the generous amount of alcohol in it.

What does long island tea taste like?

Well, it doesn’t taste like iced tea! More like coke and citrus, but with more complexity. It’s quite a sweet cocktail, but it’s very refreshing. The sweetness does a good job of masking the alcohol, so now I know why people easily get smashed on Long Island Iced Tea!

This Long Island Iced Tea still has the famous five types of alcohol in them, but with less and a little more coke.

Long Island Iced Tea

Not to worry because it still has that signature yummy and refreshing Long Island Iced Tea taste without being too diluted in coke.

This way we can enjoy sipping this cocktail all day long with our friends by the pool and have coherent conversations! Well, that depends on how you handle your alcohol, so always remember to drink responsibly!
