In a large jug or bowl, pour in the tomato juice. Add in the sugar and stir until dissolved, then pour in the Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, lime and vodka. Give it a stir and have a taste, then add salt and pepper to your liking.
Use 6 shot glasses that can hold over 1/3 cup (80ml - 2.7floz). Pour the cocktail evenly into the glasses. Place one oyster into each glass or leave them in the shell and let your guest drop it in themselves.
Optional toppings - To make fully loaded and deluxe Bloody Mary Oyster shots, you could add skewers of grilled bacon and prawns, olives, pickled baby cucumber, pickled onions and celery sticks.
Notes
(NOTE 1) Tomato juice - We don't have many ranges of tomato juice available here, so I wasn't able to find any fresh tomato juice. If you have a juicer, you could make your own using ripe red tomatoes.(NOTE 2) Worcestershire sauce - Supermarkets usually stock Worcestershire sauce near the condiments or sauce section. I used Holbrooks' Worcestershire Sauce; it has a strong vinegary, sweet and savoury taste that goes fantastic with meat and seafood.(NOTE 3) Tabasco (optional) - If you don't want a spicy drink, leave out the tabasco. You could use your favourite hot sauce in place of tabasco.(NOTE 4) Vodka - Authentic Bloody Mary calls for vodka, but if you like to twist it up a bit, you could replace vodka with tequila, gin or white rum. To make a virgin Bloody Mary, swap the alcohol for more tomato juice.Optional toppings - To make a fully loaded and deluxe Bloody Mary Oyster shots, you could add skewers of grilled bacon and prawns, olives, pickled baby cucumber, pickled onions and celery sticks.A Third-Party Application calculated the calories and nutritional information.
